There is a particular kind of loneliness that comes from ongoing conflict or disconnection in your relationships. With your partner, your family, your friends, your colleagues. You have tried. You have pushed through it, avoided it, lost sleep over it, and you are starting to feel genuinely fed up, not just with the situation but with not knowing how to change it.
The problem is rarely the person. It is the pattern. The cycle that pulls both people in before either of them sees it coming, the dynamic that keeps replaying regardless of how much you both care. Recognizing that pattern, and knowing where you have the power to shift it, is where the work begins.
For the individuals I work with, we get curious about the parts of you that keep getting pulled into the same exhausting dynamics, building a more grounded, assertive way of showing up in your relationships.
For couples, it is about slowing down the conflict loop long enough to actually hear what is being said underneath it. We look at the arguments that never fully resolve, the ones you have had so many times you could script them, and work toward communication patterns that feel less like a battle and more like a real conversation.
I work with teenagers individually and within the family system. If your teen is withdrawn, shutting down, or struggling in ways that feel bigger than what your family knows how to hold, I give them their own space to work through it while helping the people around them understand how to shift the dynamic at home.
I will not just reflect back what you already know. I will gently help you see it from an angle you have not considered yet, with genuine curiosity and without judgment. And I truly believe that you do not need everyone at the table for things to change. One person willing to look honestly at their patterns can shift the entire dynamic around them, and that person can be you.
I am a Registered Social Worker with 8+ years of experience as a therapist, teen mentor, early childhood educator, behavioural aide, and instructor.
