Therapy Format: In-Person in Calgary or Virtual across Alberta

You feel everything deeply. That has probably been true your whole life, and somewhere along the way you got the message that it was too much. So you learned to manage it, to overachieve, to anticipate everyone else's needs before they could be disappointed, to hold yourself to a relentless need to be enough that keeps moving no matter how hard you work to reach it. From the outside, you have it together. On the inside, you are exhausted by the weight of never quite getting there.

The emotional rollercoaster is not just tiring. It is disorienting. You can go from fine to flooded in a moment you did not see coming, and the shame that follows those moments has a way of confirming every harsh thing you already believe about yourself. When grief enters the picture, it tends to hit harder and linger longer than anyone around you seems to understand.

For the couples I work with, it is often years of paper cuts of small hurts that have built up over time, moments of feeling unseen, unheard, or not quite chosen, that have quietly calcified into distance. The work is not just about fighting less. It is about healing the emotional wounds underneath the arguments, so you can actually like each other again, feel safe with each other again, and find your way back to the connection that brought you together in the first place.

I also work with teenagers. If your teen is endlessly hard on themselves, visibly anxious, and crumbling under the weight of their own expectations, I work with them directly to untangle the anxiety and build real strategies to cope with the pressure.

Therapy with me is relational above everything else. I show up as a real, genuine presence in the room, with compassion, with humor when it fits, and without judgment. We go beyond just talking about what has happened and work to heal it at the root, addressing the trauma and deeply held beliefs that have been quietly shaping how you feel about yourself and how you move through your relationships. From there, we work toward a life that feels meaningful and more aligned with who you truly want to be.

I am a Registered Psychologist with over 10 years of experience in both private practice and community mental health settings.
