You have spent a lot of time being good at adapting. Reading the room, managing how you come across, making yourself smaller or easier to be around in spaces where it never felt fully safe to just be yourself. And underneath all of that effort, your mind never really stops. You are constantly in a tug of war with your thoughts, overanalyzing every interaction, looking for certainty that never quite arrives.
Maybe you have gone the other direction too: numb, checked out, watching your life from a slight distance because feeling everything became too much. For a lot of people I work with, it is both, swinging between the two and exhausted by the whiplash.
A lot of my clients are highly sensitive or neurodivergent people who have spent years adapting to a world that was not designed with their nervous system in mind. That adaptation takes a real toll, and we work to address it at the root rather than just manage it on the surface.
I also work with teenagers. Many of the teens I see are feeling things very deeply but have no safe outlet for it yet. Therapy gives them a space that is separate from home and school, somewhere that is just theirs, to start making sense of what they are carrying and build the skills to cope with it.
Therapy with me is not about reframing your way to positivity or talking yourself out of how you feel. Here, your emotions are never met with judgment. We tune into your body, recognize the patterns that have been running quietly in the background, and gently work through the trauma and experiences that have shaped them. Over time, you build real nervous system regulation skills, genuine confidence in what you need, and a new way of relating to yourself with curiosity and self-compassion, until finding safety in yourself starts to feel less like a distant idea and more like something you can actually live from.
The result is not a life without difficult feelings. It is a life where those feelings no longer run the show. Clients leave with a clearer sense of who they are, more trust in their own instincts, and relationships that feel less like a performance and more like an actual connection.
I have 7+ years of experience providing trauma-informed care across outpatient clinics, long-term care, subacute units, and transitional care settings.
